INCLUSIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
In Field 3 I demonstrated using appropriate universal and targeted strategies and supports to address students’ strengths, learning challenges, and areas for growth. I first targeted students who needed additional support and then assisted other students while doing individual work as demonstrated by the excerpt from my partner teacher's final assessment. The teaching metaphor I created during my degree aims to foster equality and respect in the school community in regard to rights as provided for in the Alberta Human Rights Act and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. In addition, I have provided my certificate for being trauma aware which assists with employing classroom management strategies that promote positive, engaging learning environments.
